If you’re like me and you’re fanatical about gaming and you own one of Intel’s Quad Core CPU then it is absolutely vital you get the best possible performance from your PC.

I don’t know about you but there’s nothing more frustrating than seeing your games with choppy frame-rates, running on the lowest graphics settings.

Unfortunately, even so I owned an Intel Quad Core Processor; my system was still not upto scratch especially with today’s games.

But been broke, buying new hardware was straight out of the question so I turned to the internet for answers… living in the hope I could discover a few tweaks or find some software to help speed up my PC.

In my journeys I discovered a technique called overclocking. Overclocking by the way is a method of speeding your computer’s components like your CPU, without the need to spend cash on additional hardware.

Now I don’t know about you but this sound right up my street. Plus, if done right you get a considerable speed boost to your games without breaking a sweat cash-wise.

So I carried on researching to see how exactly it’s done…

I hit the forums hard learning but as time went by, one problem kept arising again and again every time I asked about overclocking my Intel Quad Core CPU. Everyone was talking in terms I couldn’t understand and when I asked what these terms mean, I’d get various answers back but none of them really matched up with each other.

Plus on top of that, I read the horror stories of how people damaged their computers through overclocking their CPUs. So taking just anyone’s advice would be foolish to say the least. I didn’t want to take advice too lightly and besides, do these people in the forums REALLY know what they’re on about anyway?

As time went by, the idea of overclocking my Intel Quad Core processor seem to slowly drift away and I’d have to make do with the performance I was getting from my PC.

But something happened…

One day as I was still surfing the internet searching for little nuggets to hopefully speed up my computer, I stumbled across this site called Overclocking your CPU to the extreme. It promised me everything I was looking for which sound great but I must admit it did ring alarm bells.

Promising how it can make any computer outperform a rig worth hundreds more without the need to spend anything on hardware. This just sounded too good to be true. But been a gamer and desperate to speed up my game frame rates, I threw caution to the wind and downloaded a copy straight away.

The main manual was only an hour’s read but everything was explained in simple layman terms anyone could follow. The first step tuck me through was how to unlock my Bios options. I previously read this was impossible in the forums but what I was shown worked a treat for me.

After activating my overclocking options I was finally was able to enter my Bios options but I didn’t understand what any of the terms meant. So I consulted overclocking your CPU to the extreme and it helped heaps. This was mainly due the Jargon demystify section where everything was explained as clear as day what settings did what and how/when to change it.

Within an hour following the detailed step by step pictured guide I was not only overclocking my quad core CPU but I was seeing dramatic improvements in my games too!

A lot people may think it ended there but overclocking your CPU to the extreme takes you so much further. It shows you all sorts of other sneaky methods and techniques that I never came across before. It shows you how speed up Windows and make your computer rock solid as this is really important when overclocking.

I also learned how to pick up my PC stress signals therefore never putting my PC in danger and how to work around it get a even more performance as a result.

So as you can probably gather I recommend overclocking your cpu to the extreme to anyone who was to get the absolute best out of their PCs, especially if you want to overclock your Intel Quad Core CPU. It tort me a lot in an incredibly short period of time cutting of months of tedious learning that could of otherwise damage my rig.
